Where: Niagara Falls, Canada (Niagara Fallsview Casino) When: April 20 and 22, 2006 Written by: Laine
I had a great time at both shows, met many great people, and best of all had the chance to see JLL twice.
Thursday night:
The house was packed and the band sounded great! They seemed to be having a great time as always.
Band:
1) Columbus Stockade Blues (Kenny Lovelace)
2) Lonely Weekends (Robert Hall) 3) Bye Bye Johnny / Sweet Little Rock 'n' Roller (BB Cunningham) 4) Big Boss Man (Buck Hutcheson)
Jerry came out wearing
black pants, black and red bowler type shirt, and boots. He looked very good and was happy. He sounded good, strong voice, speech was clear, though the piano was a little low.
Set List:
1) Roll Over Beethoven
2) Over The Rainbow 3) Drinkin' Wine Spo-Dee-O-Dee 4) Trouble In Mind 5) Sweet Little Sixteen 6) You Belong To Me 7) Chantilly Lace 8)You Win Again
9) Great Balls of Fire 10) Mexicali Rose 11) Whole Lotta Shakin' Going On

Saturday Night:
This night was better than the first!! The band seemed to be having an even better time with Buck doing a little dancing around. Kenny started off with
Rip It Up, then Robert did Honey, Don't, with BB following with Bye Bye Johnny and Buck finishing with Big Boss Man. Then came the anticipation of Jerry getting on stage.
Jerry came on smiling and looking great in a dark suit and very well groomed. Someone must have said something about the piano being to low as I could hear it better on Saturday.
Set List:
1) Roll Over Beethoven 2) Trouble In Mind 3) Georgia On My Mind 4) Sweet Little Sixteen 5) Johnny B. Goode 6) You Belong To Me
7) Before The Night Is Over 8) She Even Woke Me Up To Say Goodbye 9) Mexicali Rose 10) I Don't Want To Be Lonely Tonight 11) Great Balls Of Fire
12) Whole Lotta Shakin' Going On
Just before he sang GBOF he said something about the sound, and then you could hear the piano above all. I loved it even more then. Near
the end of WLSGO Jerry kicked the stool back and played standing up! This brought the house to their feet. He was amazing at both shows and I can't wait until the next one I get
to see! I watched him on both nights drinking his Sprite and didn't witness his hands shaking at all. He looked fantastic.
